9 days and counting

Nothing too much going on here, just waiting for that day when I can not be pregnant anymore. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to hold the baby in my arms and see him and all of that but good grief I am getting uncomfortable and really looking forward to not having this giant bulge anymore. I am having trouble sleeping at night because every time I move I get a contraction and I feel like I could potentially die (well kind of).
Wyatt is doing awesome. He is so stoked right now because there are not one but 2 BACKHOES!!!!!!! in front of our house right now plowing our road (sorry Andrea). He is really excited about being a big brother and I can't wait to see him interact with the baby.
Shawn is busy busy busy. He just took on an additional 9 states to his 3 state territory so he is pretty much covering the Western United States now. Luckily, he does not have to travel the additional nine by car like he does Oregon Washington and Idaho, he will just fly into those other states and set up a temporary show-room. We didn't plan very well for the timing of our baby because Shawn is in his busiest time of the year from now until the beginning of April and he is only going to be here for 4 days after the baby is born and then has to fly out to Utah. I am a little nervous because I am going to have just had my stomach cut open and be taking care of the new baby and a crazy toddler, but luckily we have a ton of support so I know it will all be fine. After he travels really heavily for those couple of months, he will be home for about 4-5 months so we just have to buckle down and get through it. Well, I hope all is well for everyone. We will be sure to post pictures ASAP after we meet the little guy.

Today was my first day working at Starbuck's. I had a good time there and I think I will like working there.

Wherever she went, she was RUNNING!!

I am beginning to wonder if I have, in fact, lost my mind. I am not sure if I thought 15 credits and an internship wasn't enough, so I had to go sign up for a half marathon.....no, that is not a type-o, I am officially entered into the Moab "Other Half" scheduled for March 8th of this year. I wasn't really thinking when I signed up for the half, because running has never been what I would mention when asked for a "favorite pasttime." I was in track in high school and let me tell you that my height never did anything for me; it always use to feel like I had weights tied to my feet, which was evident by the gobs of family and fans that never came to my "thrilling" meets!

Well, strangely enough, it seems like all I have been doing lately is running!! Joe says that I have become a gym-addict....there are worse things I could be, right? Anyway, I am in my sixth week and feeling pretty good about things. Saturday, my training schedule said that I was to do a six miler. I started laughing when I read that and had to be shoved out the door kicking and screaming by my husband. (Well, not really, but I was certainly not overly excited about it.) I drove around to get my six mile route and decided that, in fact, I had lost my mind. Never in my life have I ever run so far or ever felt a desire to, for that matter. But, I did it and to tell you the truth--I know this sounds sick and wrong--it actually felt good. Crazy....but, the quiet country road, my iPod and I had quite an enjoyable afternoon together and it actually didn't last as long as I thought it would.
I was feeling good about things....until, Sunday. I could hardly get out of bed, let alone walk!!! Apparently I need to do a little more stretching. My old muscles were ANGRY at me for all that senseless running and I was paying for it. However, 2 days, a few walks and a Pilates class later, I am feeling MUCH better and ready to do another run. I will let you know how it goes.

I would also like to let you know that the snow plow DID finally grace us with it's presence today and I was tempted to give it a "one-finger salute" as it drove by, but thought it would be counter productive to my cause, so I settled for a wave. I think the snow plow man could see right through my friendly face though, because we got a 2nd drive-thru!!! And people, this is all proof, that miracles do still happen!

Hi everyone. How is everyone doing? Things are going great here. We woke up to 8 inches of snow this morning! Not that I don't like it, but it makes work really busy. Anyways, didn't know if I posted this is my last post, but I was accepted into Colorado Technical Universtity online earlier this month! I will start classes Feb.20. I am so very excited. I'm a little nervous however though because I haven't done anything that involves school type thinking for about 5 years now...hope my noggin remember it all once I get going.
Cayden is getting bigger by the day. He follows Racheal around everywhere. I don't think it will be long before he starts walking, more so because he is seeing Racheal walk and you can tell he is going to push it! He is such a happy baby. I am so lucky with him. The only time he really cries is if it is past his bed time, or if he falls and hurts himself...lol...It's hard to believe he is already 8 months old! YIKES! Racheal is still the bully, but when it comes down to it, she really loves Cayden. When the other one isn't around, it's like the other one is lost w/o them. It's cute. Racheal gives Cayden hugs all the time. I hope they grow up to be close! Well, I have to take off for work. Hope all is well with everyone!!

Hendersons!

We are all staying very busy with Rob in school and working and I am caoching at the middle school! Hallie loves going to sunbeams now and is very involved and attentive! I am not in Young Womens and am teaching the class that sits behind her!!! I love watching her but get a little nervous about what might come out of her mouth at times... you never know with her! She loves preschool and is starting dance class on Wednesday and is very excited. Jaxy is a crack-up and very dramatic! He is so much fun to be around! Hope all is well with everyone. Gramma and Grampa Campbell made a visit to the Paul Campbell home this past wednesday. Finally getting to see Jude. What a precious little boy. To us he looks a lot like Violet when she was born, perfect!! All You grandchildren make beautiful baby's. Family reunions and family gatherings will become more and more fun as time goes by as the little one's become friends and look forward to being with each other. A newsy thing about Zack Crane. He just recently won three awards,"Honor role award",a "Great Effort in Science award" and the "National Physical Fitness award" signed by President Bush. The Crane kids all seem to being doing very well with Fred. He has brought a lot of love and happyness into the home that was never there before. They love and respect him, and he is very good but firm with them. Cody has been making great strides in loosing weight, he is really a nice looking young man, his hair is a little longer, has a good attitude, and he will be a teen ager this month. The reason we are putting stuff on the blog about the Crane kids is that Jeannie has a lot of problems with the dial up server they have, and she probably wouldn't brag on the kids anyway. Andrea, you are hilarious! I love your snowplow story. Way to take some action. Wow Michele! Talk about a job perk. We'll definitely be thinking of you each time we brave the rain this March.
This blog was definitely a wonderful idea. I already find myself checking it atleast 2 times a day (probably due to my desperate need to converse with other adults).
We are heading to the cabin this afternoon to spend another beautiful weekend in the snow. Hopefully the warming weather won't ruin the conditions up there. We're bringing our friends' daughter with us so Nicholas has someone to play with. When we were up there for New Years, Nicholas and his cousin Kyle were outside about 80% of each day playing in the snow. It will most likely be the same this weekend. Poor Nathan wants so bad to be able to play outside all day like the bigger kids, but Mommy gets exhausted faster than he does and we end up coming back inside before he's ready. It makes for some great fits. Next winter will be better.
Well I had better get back to the pot of chicken noodle soup I'm preparing for dinner. If I can only find the ladle (evidently all Santa needed to bring Nathan was a ladle and a spatula). Hope everyone has a great weekend.

It's true!!

WOW!!! This blog thing really does serve it's purpose. Most of us wouldn't have known about Mom and Dad's trip until 2 Christmases from now when Mom brought it up, then seeing our utter confusion, would say, "WHAT?!?!?! I didn't tell you!?!?!?? I'm SURE I did!!!"

SAMOA!

Hi All,

We are definitely getting out of the rain for Spring Break this year - we are going to Samoa on a humanitarian/fun trip with my boss. We'll be on one of the smaller islands doing basic dentistry for the village. We'll be sleeping in huts on the beach. Sand is a whole different ballgame than DIRT!! We'll have layovers in Hawaii both coming and going with enough time to get in the water to break up the flying time. We leave on March 23rd and get back on the 30th.

I just want to know who the savvy member of the family is that added the family pic to the blog page. Dad? Could it be? Nah, probably not.... Whoever it was-NICE!!!

I am so happy to see so many people updating our blog--it is so fun to stay up to date on everyone and see how all the grandkids are growning! You Steve Campbell girls make CUTE babies!!! Congrats to Lissa on the C-section!! That'll be a fun day!! I mean, as fun as getting cut open can possibly be... :)

Things in Utah are good, but we're snowed in. No, not because it has snowed nonstop since the beginning of winter, but because apparently our street isn't on the list for the snow plow!! On the way to drop Luke off at school the other day, I had to try to push a lady's van out of a foot of snow in my flip-flops....maybe it's time those get put away for a while, ya think? Anyway, the kicker is that she wasn't stuck in a ditch or anything, OH NO, she was stuck in a foot of snow ON THE STREET!! (Needless to say, she sat in the snow until someone else came along.) I was ticked and went straight home to give the poor unsuspecting secretary at Spanish Fork city an ear full. After a few courtesy "I'm sorry, Ma'am," "Yes, I understand," "No, I don't think lighting the snow plow on fire will do much good," I figured she wasn't going to be much help. So, I sent as scathing an email as possible to the Snow Plow department, whose representitive proceeded to read the first sentence, realize it was a complaint and press delete, giving no further thought to it. You know how I know he did that? Our street, three days later, is still not plowed. Yes, lighting the snow plow on fire may not get my street cleared, but it will make me feel MUCH better!

Everything is going great out here in Montana. I am working and on Feburary 20, I will start my online classes toward my bachelor's degree in computer engineering. It will only take me 2 1/2 years and I will get 11 certificates with it. I am excited. Amanda and Racheal are doing great. Racheal is walking all over the place. She is a smart little girl. She knows where her nose is and that when it's time to go, she has to put her coat on. Everytime I go to go somewhere, she brings me her coat. It's cute. Cayden is crawling now! He pulls himself up to a standing position a lot too, kind of frightening though because he is still not very steady at standing. I have to go back to Oregon at the beginning of Feburary for court for custody of Cayden, not looking forward to having to deal with his dad.

SNOW!

We just had a wonderful "Snow Day". At 5:50 this morning the radio announced that Klamath Falls City Schools were canceled today. Of course we were disappointed having to sleep in a couple more hours and having to have a leisurely breakfast. We spent the day shoveling snow and dreaming of spring.
Amy called this morning to tell us that she is pregnant. According to the Chinese calendar she is supposed to have girl which would be the first for the Steve Campbell Clan.
Boy, do the Campbells ever have some beautiful grand kids!

Congrats Paul and Missy on a beautiful new son. He may not have been a New Year's baby but he will help out on the 2007 Taxes. :o)

Jorgensen Family Vacation

Joe and I decided at the very last minute, that our little family needed some time away after a looooonng semester. So, last week we took a trip to Cali for some much needed rest and relaxation. Well, that's what we were aiming for, but as most of you know, usually a vacation is needed to recover from vacation. Well, such is the case with us, but we had an absolute blast!! We headed down to to Las Vegas Sunday and spent the evening searching for the Blagio (sp?) so that Luke could see the fountains. Well, apparently my knowledge of the strip is a little rusty, since we walked for four miles from our hotel before we finally found the fountains. We were tired and cranky, but Luke LOVED the 2 minutes of entertainment-(P.S. Has that show always been so short or was it just a one-time thing meant to be a little icing on the cake of our evening) Anyway, after many tears and shoulder rides, we made it back to the hotel and got a much needed rest. The next day we headed to a resort in Palm Desert for golf, swimming and sun. It was beautiful and we were able to catch up with some friends we had set up- a cadet from West Point and one of my dear nanny friends and their two little kids. After three days, we headed to San Diego for Sea World, which the kids LOVED and then the next day to Disneyland. It was a whirlwind, but a much needed time together. Anyway, here are some pics of the trip....hopefully I can get this to work.

Thank you Mike and Michele for setting up this blog. Grama and I are challenged when it comes to this technology thing. We struggle with e-mail. We have 2" fresh snow here in Blue River this morning. We have pans lined up at the foot of our bed catching water that comes through the ceiling. I have known about the roof leak for a while and hoped that it would go away. But now I will definitely have to fix it this summer. I'm taking applications for cheap roofers in the family. Now I will try to post this. Grampa
